The Come Back of Cameo Pizza

The contest is near and after being out of it in a year, Cameo Pizza comes back to the Best of Sandusky County Pizza Challenge. Ann Kear, the store manager of the Fremont based pizza shop, thinks that the group for this year’s competition will be big.

“I would say we picked up some new people,” said Kear as she explains that some people are new customers and some are returning participants.

The funds that will be raised in this pizza challenge will be for the youth scholarships, which was established by Chamber Foundation of Sandusky County. The campaign was called “Raise the Dough” for youth Scholars.

The competing merchants are Papa Murphy’s, Little Caesar’s Pizza, The Depot, Domino’s Pizza, Pizza Hut, Pisanello’s Pizza and Cameo Pizza.

Titles awarded are the following: The Best of Sandusky County 2013 People’s Choice Award, Celebrity Choice Award, Quality Award and the Kids Choice Award.

Cameo’s Pizza plans to introduce their two new pizzas at the fair – chipotle and BLT. Kear also mentions that their employees have fun during these events and expects that there will be 700 or more people for this competition.

From 11 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon, the fair will be open at the Sandusky County Fairgrounds and will be $8 - $9 per person for the entry fee.

The ticket not only serves as an entry fee for this Sunday’s event but will also be the ticket to eat sample pizzas of each merchant and allow them to vote the best for the People’s Choice Award.
