Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza Recipe

A bacon cheeseburger is really nothing more than meat and veggies in between a bun. So why not eat it on a pizza? A bacon cheeseburger is a great way to bring the flavor of the summer grilling season to pizza night but with an added twist. And you don’t have to clean the grill afterward! To make a bacon cheeseburger pizza, you will need the following ingredients:

-1 pizza crust
-1 cup of BBQ sauce
-1 pound of ground beef
-1 ½ cups of cheddar cheese
-1/2 pound of bacon
-1 onion, sliced
-1 tomato/sliced
-Sliced pickles

To start, chop the bacon into small pieces and cook in a skillet over medium heat. When the bacon is done, drain on paper towels, but do not discard the bacon grease. Next, cook the ground beef in the bacon grease until no longer pink. Drain entirely and set aside.

Take the pizza dough and top with the BBQ sauce, spreading it out until it covers the dough entirely and reaches the crust. You can add more if necessary. Next, top with shredded cheddar cheese, followed by the remaining toppings distributed evenly throughout the pizza.

Place the pizza in an oven pre-heated to 375 degrees for approximately 10-12 minutes or until the cheese has melted and is all bubbly.
