Bagel Pizzas Recipe

This is a different culinary delight for lovers of both pizza and bagels. In fact, it is pizza/bagel heaven.

Created by Brenda Hulin for, this recipe will make six pizzas.

These pizzas utilize the large-size bagels, with one-half of one forming the crust for each.

For a change of pace, add a slice of smoked salmon or salami over the ricotta.

3 large bagels, plain, wheat, or Asiago cheese

2 cups ricotta cheese

2 plum tomatoes, thinly sliced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Black pepper to taste

2 cups shredded Italian-blend cheese


1. Split bagels in half horizontally and toast lightly. Place toasted bagels cut-side up on a baking sheet lined with nonstick foil.

2. Spread each with 1/3 cup ricotta cheese and top with slices of tomato. Sprinkle tomatoes with oregano and black pepper.

3. Top each bagel with 1/2 cup shredded cheese. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Let stand briefly before serving.
