If you’re looking for a real blue cheese flavor that’ll kick your taste buds right in the butt, then using a blue cheese dressing instead of marinara sauce as a base should be your preferred method of using the cheese on a pizza.

To make this pizza, all you need to do is get a pizza crust, cook it in the oven until crispy, then liberally apply the blue cheese until it reaches the crust. Then you’re free to top it with whatever toppings you’d like. Since blue cheese is often found on salads, then blue cheese dressing as a base is a surefire way to combine your healthy salad with a flavorful pizza crust. Sliced tomatoes, grapes, onions, and shredded lettuce are suitable toppings, though the best thing about this pizza is that you can add pretty much whatever toppings you’d like.

Conversely, you can use simple olive oil as a base and instead top the pizza with crumbled blue cheese, as opposed to a blue cheese dressing. A recipe found here suggests topping your pizza with blue cheese crumbles, thinly sliced pears, mozzarella cheese, and fresh arugula. To make this, all you need to do is cook the pizza crust until crispy, drizzle on some olive oil, then add the toppings. Best of all, like the above recipe, you can easily add different toppings to mix and match some of the incredible flavors.
