Not only does it break up the monotony, it opens up a whole new world of toppings and combinations that you never thought possible on a pizza. One such dish is the Chicken Alfredo pizza. While this pizza might require a little extra prep time, there’s enough leeway so as to allow you the opportunity to tweak the recipe to suit your tastes.

Making the pizza requires two major steps: Preparing the sauce, and preparing the toppings. If you’d like, you can get a bottled alfredo sauce, but those are usually lacking when compared to those made in the comfort of your own kitchen. You will need the following ingredients to make the sauce: -4 tablespoons butter-¼ teaspoon salt-1 dash ground black pepper-4 tablespoons flour-1 cup milk-¾ cup grated Romano or Parmesan cheeseSome recipes, such as the one found here, suggest using cream cheese, which helps to thicken up the sauce. The aforementioned recipe advocates cooking three finely minced cloves of garlic in the butter mixture to make it a more garlic-y alfredo sauce, but that is entirely up to you. To make the alfredo sauce, melt the butter in a non-stick sauce pan, adding the garlic after a couple of minutes. Once it’s mixed together, add the salt, flour, and flour. If you use cream cheese, add that next, then slowly add the milk until everything is mixed together. Stir in the rest of the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Remove from heat and allow to thicken.Remember that you can add various spices to the sauce to enhance the flavor, so don’t feel like you’re limited by the above ingredients. Now onto the chicken. The chicken can conceivably cooked with whatever spices you like. For the sake of ease, simply cook a few chicken breasts in olive oil and sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper on top. Once they’re cooked, cut up the chicken into bite size pieces and set aside. Take your pizza crust and spread an even layer of the alfredo sauce over the entire thing. Here is where you add the toppings. Toppings for an alfredo chicken pizza vary, but standards include thinly sliced red onion and fresh spinach. So for the sake of this recipe, we will use those specific toppings. Evenly place the spinach leaves on top of the alfredo sauce, then evenly distribute the chicken and red onion slices over the top of that. Once you have everything in its proper place, cover with shredded or thick-sliced mozzarella cheese. Once you have everything to your liking, place the pizza in a pre-heated oven set to approximately 400 degrees and bake for 8-10 minutes. If you like a crispier crust, you can leave it in a tad longer. Once it’s done, take it out, let it cool down, and enjoy!(Source 1 2 3)
