Chicken Pizza Recipe

The beauty of a chicken pizza is its versatility. You can go conservative, and grill some chicken and use it as a topping as is; or you can marinate the chicken in a flavor or sauce of your choice and swap out the marinara sauce in favor of something to complement it. This recipe will show you how to make a flavorful chicken pizza that works with any type of pizza crust.

To start, you will need the following ingredients:

Pizza crust (pre-made or homemade)
One chicken breast
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
½ tsp. cayenne pepper
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. onion powder
½ tsp. salt and pepper
½ tsp. oregano
½ tsp. cumin

To start, take a fresh chicken breast and pound it until it’s nice and thin.  Next, take a bowl, and combine all of the ingredients together and mix well. Once it’s mixed, marinate the chicken in the mixture for at least one hour. Once the chicken has sufficiently marinated, grill until thoroughly cooked.

Once the chicken has been fully cooked, cut into strips about one inch in length and set aside. Take your crust and top it with marinara sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese. Take the chicken strips and distribute evenly on the cheese. For added flavor you can add onions, peppers, and mushrooms.

Place in an oven preheated to 400 degrees for approximately 10-12 minutes. Once the crust has cooked to your liking, remove, let sit for a few minutes to cool, and enjoy!
