Snails? On a pizza? Say it ain't so! In the realm of exotic pizza toppings, one wouldn't think that escargot, known to the layman as snails, would be a satisfying or even remotely tasty endeavor, but when it comes to pizza, no topping is off limits. To make an escargot pizza, you will need the following ingredients:
-1 pizza crust
-1 can of escargot
-2 cloves of garlic
-Butter
-Mushrooms, sliced
-1 cup of basil pesto
-Roma tomato
-Shredded mozzarella/Romano/parmesan cheese
To start, you need to prepare the toppings. Finely chop the garlic then, in a large pan, sautee the escargot in a mixture of butter and garlic until the snails begin to shrink. Once they do, remove them from the mixture and set aside.

Next, take the sliced mushrooms and cook in the leftover butter mixture. If you'd like, you can also some thinly sliced onions. While that's cooking, dice the tomato into small pieces.
Next, take the dough and apply the pesto on top, followed by the remaining toppings with the escargot going on last.
Place the pizza on a greased pan (the butter and garlic mixture works), and bake in an oven pre-heated to 375 degrees until the cheese has started to bubble, longer for an extra crispy pizza.
