Football Pepperoni Pizza Recipe

It’s salami. No, it’s bologna. No, it’s pepperoni flying over the bleachers for a touchdown to remember! Perfect for the Super Bowl or any time you might be in the mood for a novelty pizza, this football-shaped pepperoni delight couldn’t be much easier to make. The pepperoni is placed on the pizza in the shape of a football and sliced Swiss cheese works as the laces to the football.

Clever, innovative and delicious, Angie McGowan developed this novelty pizza that will win your heart whether you are a football fan or not.

1 pizza dough or pre-made crust

pizza sauce

shredded mozzarella cheese

one package  pepperoni

sliced Swiss cheese, cut in strips

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. If using fresh pizza dough, bring to room temperature.

2. Spread dough over, or place pizza crust in pizza pan. Add pizza sauce and then cheese. 3. Top with pepperoni, laying it slightly overlapping in the shape of a football.

4. Place Swiss cheese strips in the middle of your pepperoni football to form the laces.

5. Bake according to pizza dough instructions, or until pizza is lightly browned and cheese has melted.
