Goat Cheese and Asparagus Pizza Recipe

Created more than a decade ago by Rori Spinelli-Trovato, this pizza recipe serves 4 and takes a total of 30 minutes to make.
Goat cheese and asparagus are an amazing although uncommon combination that is sure to please even the most educated palette.

1 pound frozen pizza dough, thawed

6 ounces goat cheese, crumbled

4 ounces sour cream

2  teaspoons fresh thyme leaves

1 pound  asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

kosher salt and black pepper


1. Heat oven to 425°F. On a floured work surface, roll out the dough to a 14-inch round. Transfer to a baking sheet.

2. In a small bowl, combine 4 ounces of the goat cheese, sour cream, and thyme. Spread over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.

3. Top with the asparagus, remaining 2 ounces goat cheese, and 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper

4. Bake until golden and crisp around the edges, 25 to 30 minutes.
