Hawaiian Tuna Pizza Recipe

A Hawaiian pizza is hit or miss when it comes to its popularity. Some absolutely love the combination of ham and pineapple, while others feel that the sugary sweetness of the pineapple just doesn’t belong on a traditional pizza. With pizza, however, there are no rules for toppings, so anything and everything can sit atop that melted cheese to help create a flavor someone is destined to love.

Take for example the Hawaiian Tuna pizza, a pizza that uses Mayonnaise tuna and tomatoes to help add a bit of flair and definitely a lot of flavor to what might otherwise be a bland pizza for most. The following recipe is adapted from here.

To make a Hawaiian Tuna pizza, you will need the following ingredients:

-A pre-made or homemade pizza crust
-3 tbsp. of marinara sauce
-Pineapple cubes
-Small grape tomatoes, sliced
-3 tbsp. mayonnaise tuna (essentially a mixture of mayo and canned tuna)
-Shredded mozzarella cheese

To start, take the pizza crust and spread the marinara sauce evenly over the entire crust. Next, carefully spread the mayonnaise tuna on top of the marinara sauce.

Next, cover with the shredded mozzarella cheese, then add the pineapple cubes and cherry tomatoes. If you’d like, you can add other toppings, such as onions or even mushrooms.

Bake in an oven pre-heated to 375 for 8-10 minutes or until cheese is completely melted and dough is crispy. Remove and let cool.
