To make a hummus pizza, you will need the following ingredients:

-1 whole wheat pizza crust
-1 cup of hummus, pre-made or homemade
-1 red bell pepper, sliced
-1 cup of jalapeno pepper slices
-2 cups of shredded cheddar jack cheese

Take the pizza crust and evenly spread the hummus over the top of it until it covers the entirety of the base and reaches the edge. If you’d like, you can make a spicier hummus by adding various hot sauces or other hot spices. This is a perfect option if you intend to add spicy toppings, such as jalapeno peppers.

Next, take the red pepper and jalapeno slices and arrange evenly over the hummus. Be sure to set a few aside. Next, apply the cheese on top of the hummus, followed by the remaining peppers. If you’d like to keep the pizza within a certain theme, you can add a variety of ethnic toppings, such as kalamata olives and feta cheese to give your mediterranean style pizza a bit of a Greek flair. The possibilities are endless.

Finally, put the pizza in an oven pre-heated to 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is crispy.
