Mexican Pizza is one of those unique pizza dishes that anyone can make quickly and easily in the comfort of their own home. As the name suggests, a Mexican Pizza is merely a pizza that employs any number of Mexican ingredients - refried beans, salsa, enchilada sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, etc - and put on top of a pizza crust. But the variety doesn't stop there. Instead of using a pizza crust, you can use corn or flour tortilla and place the ingredients on the inside. It's essentially an unfolded taco. As such, this recipe will take you through the steps involved in making a standard pizza using Mexican-style toppings.

To make a Mexican Pizza, you will need the following ingredients:
-Pizza crust
-1 pound of hamburger meat
-1 onion
-1 green pepper
-1 tomato
-1 jalapeno
-Shredded lettuce
-1 can refried beans
-2 tbsp. Frank's red hot
-2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
-1 package taco seasoning
-Ranch dressing
Step One: In a large pan, cook hamburger meat, adding taco seasoning halfway through. Drain, then set aside.
Step Two: Chop all the vegetables and combine in large bowl with shredded lettuce until well-mixed.
Step Three: Spread the refried beans over the pizza crust. This will serve as your base and substitute for the traditional marinara sauce.
Step Four: Distribute meat evenly over the pizza crust.
Step Five: Add the shredded cheese until the crust is completely covered. Set a small amount of the cheese aside.
Step Six: Add the vegetable mix to the top of the cheese
Step Seven: Use the remaining cheese to cover the vegetables, then lightly sprinkle Frank's Red Hot over the top.
Step Eight: Cook the pizza in an oven pre-heated to 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is thoroughly melted and the edges are crispy. Once done, drizzle Ranch dressing over the top.
