4oz (110gr) cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons butter, softened
¾ cup all purpose flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 Italian sausages
4oz (110gr) fresh mushrooms
½ cup shredded cheese
½ cup marinara sauce
24 mini pepperonis
Salt and pepper to taste
1. Beat cream cheese and butter until well blended about 1 minute. Add flour and continue mixing for another 1-2 minutes. Shape the dough into a ball and wrap it in plastic. Refrigerate for 30-60minutes.
2. Heat olive oil on frying pan and add a little minced garlic to add flavor. Add the sausages and brown them over medium heat. Chop mushrooms and cook it with sausages until tender. Salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese. Beat one egg and mix in with sausage mixture.
3. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
4. Cut the chilled dough into 24 pieces. Flatten each piece a little and place into a mini muffin pan. Pour ½ teaspoon marinara sauce into each muffin cup. Add sausage mixture. Top it with extra cheese, if desired. Place one pepperoni on each tartlet. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
