Pepperoni and Pickle Pizza

Sometimes an uncommon pizza topping makes for a good choice when paired with a traditional topping.

1 pound pizza dough at room temperature

cornmeal for use on the baking sheets

1 cup marinara sauce

8 oz mozzarella, grated

1 cup sliced bread and butter pickles

3 oz sliced pepperoni

kosher salt

black pepper


  1. Heat oven to 475. Form 4 rounds from the pizza dough and place them on 2 cornmeal-dusted baking sheets.
  2. Divide toppings evenly among the 4 rounds: marinara, mozzarella, pickles and pepperoni. Season with ¼ teaspoon each salt and pepper. Bake until the crust is golden brown, 18-20 minutes.
