Pesto Pizza

Speaking veggie in pizza means pesto as an option. This /2 batch gluten-free pizza recipe can make one whole 12" pizza from the Vegan Chick Pea. Although this is a gluten-free recipe, make sure that the person eating this isn't allergic to walnuts! 

2 c loosely packed basil
1 c walnuts
1/4 c nutritional yeast
3-4 cloves of garlic
1/4 lemon, speezed
1 tsp olive oil
3-4 tbsp water
shredded mozzarella-style cheese
1 Roma tomato, thinly sliced


  1. Prep the dough and allow to rise for 15 minutes.  Line a baking pan with parchment paper.  Combine pesto ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth.
  2. Preheat oven to 400.  Press dough into a 12" round pie directly on prepared baking sheet.  Bake for 7 minutes.  Remove from oven, spread on pesto(since the pesto is pretty thick, I used an icing spatula), sprinkle on cheese, tomatoes, and return to oven for an additional 3 minutes.  Switch to broil and cook for an additional 3 minutes, or until cheese is melty.  Remove from oven.  Slice and serve.  Enjoy!
