Philly Cheese Steak Pizza Recipe

A Philly Cheese Steak is the Holy Grail of sandwiches - it’s rare to find one that lives up to those actually made in Philadelphia. If you do, then consider yourself one of the lucky ones. Now, it might be considered blasphemous to take a Philly Cheese Steak and place the ingredients on another vessel to stuff down your gullet, but when it comes to pizza, nothing is off limits.

Here are the ingredients you need to make a Philly Cheese Steak pizza:

-1 large pizza crust
-1 large onion
-1 green pepper
-2 tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil
-1/2 pound of sliced roast beef
-1 ½ cups of mozzarella cheese

To start, take a large skillet and fill the bottom of the pan with the olive oil. Next, take the onion and pepper and chop up into small slices. Add to the pan and cook over medium heat until the vegetables are tender. Once they are, remove and set aside.

Take the crust and lightly coat with olive oil. Next, add the beef, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese. Finally, add the vegetable mixture.

Next, pop that sucker in an oven pre-heated to 375 degrees and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove, let cool, then eat!

For an extra topping, you can add some ranch dressing over the top to add a bit of additional flavor.

Note: Under no circumstances are you to feed this to a true Philadelphian, lest you get them going on a rant about why Philadelphia makes the best Philly Cheese Steaks and no place can outdo them.
