If you’re trying to lose weight but don’t want to give up the awesome flavor of pizza, you have a few options. You can make a low-carb pizza crust, but they’re so laden with calories and the taste is never as good that it’s not worth the endeavor; or you can just melt some marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and toppings on a plate, but that’s no substitute for a real pizza. In the end, if you’re really trying to watch what you eat, your best bet is to make a tasty pizza salad.

So how do you make a pizza salad? It’s quite simple, really. All you’ll need is the following ingredients:
-1/2 head of large leafy lettuce
-1/2 small package of pepperoni slices
-1/2 sliced onion
-1 cup of sliced grape tomatoes
-1 cup of diced mozzarella cheese
-1/2 cup of mushrooms, sliced
-1/2 cup of Italian dressing
-1/4 cup of shredded parmesan cheese
Fill a large bowl with lettuce, followed by the rest of the dry toppings (not the parmesan cheese). Cover the bowl and shake vigorously until everything is completely mixed.
Remove the lid and place in a large bowl. Next, apply the dressing and the parmesan cheese and enjoy!
Note: If you’d like, you can add the dressing before you mix it so it will be evenly dispersed through the entire salad.
