Smoked Sausage Pizza Recipe

Peach preserves and smoked gouda are the two unusual ingredients that make this recipe so special and unusual. A delicious pesto sauce coupled with crumbled Italian sausage ensure this recipe will be a family favorite.


This pizza will require 25 minutes to make from start to finish.

1 pound Italian Roll Sausage

1 (14 ounce) package pre-made pizza crust

1 red pepper, cut into strips

1 small red onion, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon liquid smoke

1/4 cup pesto

1/4 cup peach preserves

1 cup shredded smoked Gouda cheese


1. Preheat oven to 425 F. Place pizza crust onto baking sheet.

2. In large skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook sausage until browned. Add red pepper and onion and cook until softened. Stir in liquid smoke. Drain on paper towels. Spread pesto on pizza crust. Top with sausage mixture.

3. Heat peach preserves in microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds and drizzle over pizza.

4. Top with cheese. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted.
