If you can’t make up your mind about whether you would like to make tacos or pizza, you have arrived at the right place. For here, with this taco pizza recipe, you can have your pizza and your taco and eat it too (or something like that).

Just like pizza, the traditional taco can be made with a variety of fillings, including beef, chicken, seafood, vegetables and cheese, allowing for great versatility and variety. Also like pizza, a taco is generally eaten without utensils (other than a generous supply of heavy-duty napkins) and is often accompanied by garnishes such as salsa, avocado, guacamole, cilantro, tomatoes, minced meat, onions and lettuce.
So why not mix the two? Why not indeed, you ask rather intelligently.
Ingredients
1 lb. hamburger, browned and drained
2 cups Doritos, slightly crushed
1-cup pizza sauce
1-1/2 cup taco sauce
1 prepared pizza crust
shredded lettuce
diced tomatoes
shredded cheese
sour cream if desired
extra taco sauce if desired
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a bowl, combine hamburger, pizza sauce and taco sauce. Spread over crust.
3. Top with a layer of cheese, one of Doritos and another one of cheese. Top with lettuce, tomatoes and more cheese.

Take a bite and think south of the border. Close your eyes and you are there!
