Tuna Melt Pizza

Since the 1940’s tuna melts have been known to be one of the staple food in the nation but did you know you can fuse them into one attractive dish that is healthy and appetizing in a form of a pizza? Yes you can, and here is a recipe from pizza oven to provide you with delight.

 

Ingredients:


1 can tuna in water

1 thin crust personal pizza

1/3 c mayonnaise or miracle whip

1/3 c diced onion (optional)

1/4 c pickle relish (optional)

1/4 c celery diced (optional)

1/4 c diced hard boiled egg (optional)

1/4 c mozzarella cheese

1 slice of American cheese torn in slices

 


Directions:


Mix your tuna salad as you normally would. I listed a few ingredients that are normally found in tuna salad. Feel free to make your own and share it with us. Place your tuna melt on your pizza crust and spread evenly. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over top. Then place your American cheese strips fanned out from the center. Place in oven under the broiler for 4-7 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling.
