Joanies Pizzeria
2101 Menard St,
Saint Louis, Missouri 63104
(314) 865-1994

About Us: have some great pizza with your beer. The atmosphere is fun and laid back, and what's more, you can even enjoy karaoke every Thursday night, while the outdoor patio is great during warm months. Consistent with the neighborhood, this lunch and evening party spot has a warm, welcoming feel with plenty people who share the sentiment. Joanie's is family friendly, but when the sun goes down, the pub comes to life, so it's best to leave the kids at home. -Cathryn D. Blue

I have been frequenting Joanies for nearly sixteen years now (since day one) and have absolutely never had a bad experience! The food is fantastic and completely home made. The staff has absolutely no turn rate so always a familiar face and they treat you like family and make sure you always have a hot meal and a full glass. Have to say I compare all servers to the Joanies scale and just can't say I have had better! My favorite item is the hot roast beef its not that processed slimy meat but made fresh every day. Enough gushing I am headed for a pie and good conversation!

Good Food, Great People: I have had better pizza in my life although the food here isn't bad. I think the main draw of this place are the people who work at Joanies along with the ambiance of this old building.

Joanie's To Go is addictive!: For many of us that live in Soulard, life just wouldn't be the same without Joanie's To Go! The genius move to separate the carrout and delivery operations of Joanie's Pizzeria Restaurant has turned into the guilty pleasure and outright addiction of many neighborhood residents, myself included. We call or stop by several times a week. The menu holds enough variety that boredom is not a worry. Though many of us order the same thing time and again. (It's the canneloni for me) When you call or stop by you can pretty much be assured of being called by name and asked if you want your "usual". They know by what I choose to order whether I want extra alfredo, no tomato or thin crust. Joanie's To Go and Joanie herself make regulars and newbies alike feel like a part of the family through their comfortable, informal banter while also maintaining excellent customer service standards. With so many places to choose from in Soulard, after a long day at work or the start of a weekend full of possibility, I choose Joanie's and Joanie's To Go time and time again.

Best St.Louis style pizza: I've been dining at Joanies for 3 years and have never had an unpleasant experience. In fact I've loved every time I've been there. They have great pizza and more importantly great service. All the staff their is very nice.

There is a reason why they have the award for best in St. Louis. It's not the traditional St. Louis pizza, but it is something different from any other pizza that you can have in the area. They have very fresh ingredients. Nothing that goes on top is frozen, processed, or packaged. If you are a pizza eater, you would know these things. The other food is good, but nothing stands out too much. If in-town: Something different. If out-of-town: taste the best.

I agree with KCFan, the pizza isn't all that great. They have their good days, and their terrible days. The staff is ok. Nothing about Joanies can really set it apart from the other independant pizza joints.

I think the pizza here is very good. Definitely a step up from the chains. Servers have always been very nice. Pizza is not in the St. Louis style with the salty cheese (thank God!). Upstairs is relaxed with flat screens. It's the place we think of for pizza in the Soulard/Benton park area.

Joanie's is a great pizzeria! Great specialty pies & awesome ambiance. BBQ Chicken pizza is best I've ever had & the Graft & Curruption (double sausage/double cheese) is great!

Do not recommend!!! Got very sick on the sausage pizza. Quite soggy & the attitude from the staff made for a poor experience.

John G....sorry about your luck, pal. Maybe your ex-girlfriend is the hottie waiting tables at Joanie's??? I've been going to Joanie's since the early 90's...never had a bad experience with the food or the peeps serving me. In fact, the opposite is totally true...great food and great service!!! What I don't like is that they posted your candy ass comment on the marquee page. Joanie's is TOP NOTCH!!

This is the first review I've written. My husband and I love Joanie's! In fact we have driven over 100 miles (we live in Southern IL) to have lunch there. The atmosphere is so relaxed and friendly. You feel like a local as soon as you walk in the door. The thin crust pizza is unbeatable. It is thin and crisp but flavorful unlike many other thin crusts! We have made Joanie's part of our game day ritual when going to Cardinals games. Joanie's even offers a free shuttle to the ball park!

I live in Soulard and have ordered Joanies carry out many times and every time has been horrible. If you want to pay for terrible service be overcharged and disappointed i would reccomend if not go elsewhere. i would rather drive 4 hours to Chi town than oder from Joanies free.

I don't typically like pizza in STL but this is pretty good. Light and crisp and great cheese. The service was always great even when crowded.

Service was excellent. We had a large party at our dining experience with no complaints from anyone in our group. Food was also fantastic...with no complaints.
