great pizza...corn bread crust and the garlic is amazing. Apps not sso good

I don't write reviews often, but I felt compelled to write this review after being very disappointed. I first tried Pi 6 - 8 months ago (roughly), so I could see what all the fuss was about regarding this pizza. So, I ordered a South Side Classic - No Bell Peppers. The pizza was simply amazing! A lot of ingredients, cheesy, and enough sauce on the top to satisfy any "sauce" person. Second time around, on 07/16/2010 I order the same pizza South Side Classic - No Bell Peppers, only 1/2 mushrooms. I am sorry to inform the folks reading this review that it will be the last time I attend Pi. I expect value, after all, at $22 / pizza, who wouldn't, right? While eating the pizza myself and a friend noticed hardly any cheese, and sausage! I have never seen anything like this before. Totally unacceptable, especially when their box states, "quality assured", or something to that affect. Both where take out orders. I assure Pi Restaurant that when I get asked what I thought about "Pi"? I will be steering my friends in another direction. Sorry, but at those prices you need to be consistent!! If I could add a photo, I would and let you judge for yourself.

Love 'em to death... thick pizza with great seasoning and lots of cheese. Get anything with kalamata olives, you won't be disappointed. I also love their garlic bread... you get a whole head of roasted garlic, olive oil butter and bread. It looks disappointing but it tastes great!

Easily the best pizza I've had in quite some time. I was attracted to this place after the truck showed up at a high school fundraiser and my kids' school. I am definitely not a thick crust person. Usually, when I eat thick crust pizza (Chicago, etc), I get too full to really enjoy the pizza. The crust here is light enough that you can enjoy all the ingredients on your pizza. There is thin crust, too, but it's not what you would expect from thin crust at a St. Louis establishment, so I would stick with the thick crust. The salads were pricey, but fresh and flavorful. Good service, too.

The corn bread crust of Pi deep-dish pizzas is very yummy! The caramel ice cream + apple pie dessert is also delicious. My only complaint is that they use onions and onion spices in the sauce. I'm not sure if they can make pizzas w/o the onion-y sauce ... otherwise if you don't like onions, you may want to order a sauce-less pizza.
