Ugh. TERRIBLE experience. Apparently I'm not hipster enough to be served when it's my turn in line. The cashier waved forward another customer behind me. I pointed out that I was ready to order and she DID take my order first but served the next two people behind me first. They ordered the same thing as me (cheese pizza) so it's not that they were still making what I ordered. I also tipped 50% so there is no excuse. I felt horrible and left on the verge of tears. I wont be going again.

One of my absolute local fav's!: Located in the sugarhouse area of Salt Lake City, Este serves authentic New York style pizza. Generous slices, and lunch specials are a steal at $5.50 for two slices and a drink, and $6.50 for a drink, a slice, and a small salad. During nice weather you can sit outside at picnic tables, or inside during inclement weather. The only drawback to the seating is limited space, so I prefer take out.

Firstly I don't know anything about NY style pizza. I thought their pizza tasted good, they use very fresh cheese and other ingredients, and the only place I know of that offers multiple vegan options. So it seems strange to me that they use canned mushrooms. The service is a bit slow for dine in, but with how fresh the food is that was okay. The atmosphere of the Sugarhouse location was a bit too trendy for me and the music a little loud, but so are a lot of other places. The thing I disliked the most is the location. When going there for the first time you drive around various connected parking areas and never see it, though there are some signs. None of them actually say "entrance here" or anything. You have to walk around to figure out where it is. All in all my friends and I enjoyed the food and would recommend it to other people.

Pizza Flavor awesome (a little undercooked. The crust should be a little crispy, not soft)! The shop is really cool. Customer service and speed of service needs a major overhaul, especially since you are paying premium prices. This place had faster service before the fire.

By far, Este has THE BEST New York style pizza in ALL OF SLC!! There is NO REASON why anyone should miss out on this landmark pizza restaurant, but I will agree with the other comment, in that if you don't know exactly where it is, you'll either drive or walk around it at least once. Only recommendation I would make to the owner: FIND A BETTER LOCATION! You'll have a MUCH BIGGER client base if you do!! PS: THE PICTURES DO NOT DO THEIR PIES JUSTICE!! Must have been a pie that someone left in the oven too long, because mine have NEVER looked like that one does!!

I have been a frequent customer of this local business for over a year. While the food is great, the customer service, friendliness, and carry-out times are poor at best. After my last experience with the Sugarhouse location, I will no longer give my business to them. I had ordered a carry-out at 9:40PM. The woman on the phone stated the pizza would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I received a call 9:58PM in which she stated that they had burned the pizza and that they would need to cook another one and to show up in 7-10minutes. I arrived to pick up my pizza at 10:15PM. The woman was turning out the lights and had locked the door. I politely waved to her and she came to the door and in a rude tone, stated that they were closed. I told her that she had JUST called me 15 minutes ago to tell me about the situation. She denied the story and stated that she had called me over 40 minutes ago. She then rolled her eyes and said she had closed her register. I showed her the Call Log on my cell phone, proving that I had just received the call. She shut the door on me and walked away. I find this highly inappropriate, unprofessional, and wrong. Especially since they are they are the ones who caused the delay in the first place. Please do not support this business.

DISAPPOINTING!! I've eaten pizza in NY and this doesn't compare. Delivery time (wihtin a one mile radius) in excess of one hour, hardly any toppings, and expensive. Not worth it.

Went there tonight for my husband's birthday. There were 7 of us and the girl working was very nice and helpful and accommodating. We even received some complimentary Italian donuts. The pizza was excellent...great dough and toppings. High quality and very tasty. I would definitely recommend Este.

Este pizza is the best pizza ever however it's never consistent. Your pizza might be good. If it s*cks dont tell the staff because they wont give a sh*t. I ordered a beer one time and it took the arogant t*rd behind the counter 13.5...

I've eaten pizza in New York- this does NOT compare. I live within 1 mile of the joint and waited more than an hour for delivery. 16
