We used to go to Renato's Pizza as a family when we were growing up at least twice a month. We decided to go for Father's Day and were VERY DISAPPOINTED! The ladies behind the counter were very pleasant, not very customer friendly, like we were wasting their time. Then the Pizza came =( another disappointment. When a restaurant changes owners they should also change names, and hire people that are customer friendly!

Iâ??ve been going to Renatoâ??s for over 30 years. This pizzeria is one of San Joseâ??s oldest and is steeped in history. Their square cut pizzas are topped with chopped toppings that are blended together. Everything is then draped in a blanket of cheese, which buries all the toppings. Youâ??ll never forget the chorizo and beef pizza, which is as tasty as they come. The pizzeria has been in the same location since it first opened in the 60â??s. It is truly â??the King of the Pizzaâ?.

I too have been eating Renato's as long as I can remember. The Service is terrible since the new owners took over, but the pizza is still the best I have had. A few months ago we were dining in and they gave our pizza to another table. When we finally asked what had happened to our pizza, the owner would not apologize and did not want to refund us. My husband orders and picks up now and we haven't had another issue. I hate to give them our money, but I love the pizza.

THE BEST CHORIZO PIZZA IN SAN JOSE: this is a must try for anyone who likes chorizo! The price is great, and the service is excellent! Call in your order, and your on your way! The location is not so great, however you can not beat the price and the quality!! The chorizo is a susage type unlike the greasy paste you see in the stores, the crust has a sweet taste to it Yumm! And the toppings are always fresh! Take some time to enjoy a great pizza!!

This restaurant is in a neighborhood where the language is Spanish and many businesses have bars on the windows. I had lunch at 12:30 on a Sunday afternoon. The place was almost empty but was very large and could handle hundreds of customers at a time which I imagine it does on a Friday or Saturday night. I chose the place because it appeared to be an authentic Italian style joint. However the place was staffed with Mexicans including the chef. In any event I ordered the Pizza Sandwich Combo. It comes with Pepperoni salami sausage and onions on a toasted French Roll or Hero. Cost $6.00 and was about 10 inches in length. Although there was hardly anyone there it took about 20 minutes to get the sandwich. Well worth the wait. It was outstanding. Came with very good thick French fried potatoes. I recommend this place and I will return. Name of the restaurant on the door and on the menu was

My family has been coming here for over 30yrs and I have to say this is the King of Pizza!! Its not your typical style or taste of pizza...its in a class all its own. If you like spicy try a Bull Fighter which is Chorizo and Jalapenos..yummy! The classic pepperoni is great but if you like a little bit of kick to your pizza I would recommend adding chorizo to ANY pizza you get here!
